Unpleasant Events

Today's verse is 2 Chronicles 10:15
So the king hearkened not unto the people: for the cause was of God, that the LORD might perform his word, which he spake by the hand of Ahijah the Shilonite to Jeroboam the son of Nebat.

What did you not like what happened? Does all seem to be contrary to your plans? Remember, Solomon, wise as he was, allowed his wives to turn him from serving solely the Lord his God, so God did as he had said and split the Kingdom of Israel. So examine yourself, are your plans truly God’s? or are they yours? What place does God have in what you are doing? The thing that happened did not surprise God, in fact as here, he very well may have brought it about. So first, give God the Glory, do not be bitter, but rather be thankful, and reconsider your ways, and if you choose to then follow God, you will find that where he leads you is far better than you could ever have managed on your own. Selah [Think on this.] Amen.

To God be the Glory
