Is God Delaying?

Today's verse is Psalm 74:10
O God, how long shall the adversary reproach?
Shall the enemy blaspheme thy name for ever?

Why the delay? Why does not God move now? Looking back in my own life, searching the scriptures, I find that when God delays there is always a purpose to it. Sometimes it is to fulfill judgment or correction, giving us an opportunity to learn, even possibly to see his sheltering hand as he guides us through the storm. Often his delay is allowing someone to repent, rather than to receive the full weight of his judgment. Remember, those that wait upon the Lord will renew their strength, so at such times exercise much patience, and if need be, long suffering, knowing that in due time (that is to say at the proper time) God shall show himself by removing those that refuse him. Amen.

To God be the Glory
