Today's verse is Psalm 77:7
Will the Lord cast off for ever?
And will he be favourable no more?
After we have sinned (personally, or corporately, or even Nationally) and we have begun to reap what we have sown, if we are in any wise in our right minds, this is the thought we will have. For it is in such times when things are dark we lose sight of how God works in our lives. And before I go on: it is at such times that we can truly learn that God is to be feared! But it is also at such times we can go back and remember, how God has shown mercy and has been gracious, first through others as we search his Word, but also to us, if we have walked with him for some length of time. For we already have the answer to this question: The steps of a good man are ordered by the Lord:/ And he delighteth in his way./ Though he fall, he shall not be utterly cast down:/ For the Lord upholdeth him with his hand. So Rejoice, and take refuge in his promises, and as you continue to seek him he shall bring you forth even stronger than you were before. Amen.
