A Christian In A Dark Place

Today's verse is Psalm 88:13
Shall thy wonders be known in the dark?
And thy righteousness in the land of forgetfulness?

The man that wrote this psalm is describing a dark place, a place that the presence of the Lord is not readily apparent. Yet, the writer is one that yearns for that presence, and is begging for it. The questions above are rhetorical, the answer being obvious, for who can see in the dark? Or, what good is a righteousness that has been forgotten? The writer is asking for God to allow him to once again be a representative for the God he loves. As one that has suffered the circumstances of this Psalm, it is not a place to be envied. But here is Hope, Our God does nothing in vain, and he works all things together for good that love him. If you find yourself suffering as does this Psalmist, know your God is closer than you think, for he has promised you, that he would never leave nor forsake you, and in due time, he will lift you up, restoring the Joy of you Salvation, that not only you, but others may see his Grace and Mercy. Amen.
