Today's verse is 1 Corinthians 8:2
And if any man think that he knoweth any thing, he knoweth nothing yet as he ought to know.
Solomon has advised us to seek understanding, the only thing more valuable is wisdom. However, because understanding is something that does not come all at once, and as we see here in this verse, is not something we will fully obtain during our brief sojourn here in this life, Solomon also counseled that we trust God with all of our heart (that same thing that is wicked above all) leaning not upon our own understanding. That is, we do not trust our heart, but that we trust God with our heart. Our God knows all, he understands all, and he knows his plans for us, plans to bring everlasting joy, plans to bring peace, but we can only benefit from these plans if we surrender and trust him whatever comes our way, whether it seems good or bad for the present. For we know that he works all things together for good, and he shall guide us into understanding. Amen.
To God be the Glory
