The Promise Of Everlasting Life

Today's verse is Psalm 21:4
He asked life of thee, and thou gavest it him,
Even length of days for ever and ever.

By the contents of this Psalm, it was the response of David after he was told that the Messiah, the true King of Israel would be born as one of his descendants. As we know, David died in his seventies, yet Jesus said that God is not the God of the dead, but the living, speaking of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob. The same can and should be said of David, and so, as they, so also us, though we may see the death of our fleshly tabernacle (our bodies) we that have been redeemed by the blood of the lamb, the Son of David, shall also live forever in the presence of the same Most High God, and receive many if not all of the same blessings that David enjoyed. Amen.

To God be the Glory
Scott
