And The Greatest Is: Charity

Today's verse is 1 Corinthians 13:13
And now abideth faith, hope, charity, these three; but the greatest of these is charity.

Charity, or as otherwise known as love, is the greatest human expression of empathy, and the closest attribute in emulating God. Yet, without faith it is impossible to please God. Yet as hope is the earnest expectation of that which has not yet happened, therefore requiring faith, so also to love as God loves, also cannot be done without faith. For Charity (Love) gives without any expectation of return, and does not change just because it has not been returned. To Love another is to trust God to supply you and sustain you through the greatest joys and the most heart-wrenching sorrows. Yet faith based Charity endures, for God is greater, and He is worthy of all of this. Amen.

To God be the Glory
