Fearing God

 

Today's verse is Psalm 22:23

     Ye that fear the LORD, praise him;

      All ye the seed of Jacob, glorify him;

      And fear him, all ye the seed of Israel.

   There are fears that cause one to run from what is feared, this is not what the Fear of God ought to be; if it is, you need to repent quickly, else your fear come upon you and you are destroyed, which will happen. No, the Fear of God, needs to be the same fear that one has for Righteous Authority. Knowing that so long as you are in obedience to his loving commandments you are safe. Knowing that if you find yourself in transgression, you can come to him and forgiveness and correction can be found, but if you rebel, and seek his displeasure he shall destroy you utterly with no recourse. So do you Fear God? Give him all the praise! Magnify his Name, and Glorify him, knowing that he rewards those that Trust in Him. Amen.
