Today's verse is Numbers 32:2
Avenge the children of Israel of the Midianites: afterward shalt thou be gathered unto thy people
From this verse there are several things that can be gleaned, I am focusing on God’s command to avenge Israel of the Midianites. From all appearances the Midianites feared the Most High God, but not according to knowledge, and for the lack of the knowledge of God, they transgressed, seeking to rid themselves of God’s people, the Israelites. What lessons and warnings can we find in these events? One I will bring forward, As we seek to serve our God, he will eventually destroy those that oppose him, so let us not fear them, nor join them, but remain faithful to our God, according to his Word. Amen.
