Today's verse is Ecclesiastes 11:6
In the morning sow thy seed, and in the evening withhold not thine hand: for thou knowest not whether shall prosper, either this or that, or whether they both shall be alike good.
In such a time as this, we have been encouraged to violate this principle, we have been commanded to withhold doing that by which we gain our livelihood, of do that by which we support ourselves. Here we are counseled not to stop doing those things by which we produce, for we know not whether by these things God will bless us. James gives us similar counsel, telling us not to rely upon ourselves but God, for we do not know what a day may bring forth, and we do not know, even at the best of times whether we shall even see tomorrow. But, God, however, knows all of these things. So, today, do that which you know to be right, and do not be afraid to do that labor which God has given you to support yourself, because he just might bless you for it. Selah [Think about this.] Amen.
