Today's verse is 2 Kings 13:23
And the LORD was gracious unto them, and had compassion on them, and had respect unto them, because of his covenant with Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, and would not destroy them, neither cast he them from his presence as yet.
In Israel, the Northern Kingdom, judgment is coming, and it was close, but as said here, it was not as of yet. God is gracious, and delays judgment that those deserving of his wrath might have opportunity to repent. Today, we see judgment of God upon the whole Earth, yet it is not so much the surety of death the plague brings, for the chance of such is vanishingly small, but the fear and the panic of what might just happen. Therefore, let us use this opportunity to repent, fearing God and the real judgment to come, let us turn to him and seek his way, and only his way. If we do this, He just might delay his judgment for another generation or three. Amen.
To God be the Glory
