Always A Remnant

Today's verse is Amos 3:12
Thus saith the LORD; As the shepherd taketh out of the mouth of the lion two legs, or a piece of an ear; So shall the children of Israel be taken out That dwell in Samaria in the corner of a bed, and in Damascus in a couch.

What are two legs, or what is a piece of an ear, from the mouth of the lion? First the mouth of the lion represents judgment, or time of extreme national trial. Now, what these pieces of the lamb are are remnants, they are what is left after the hard times are over. God always leaves a remnant, and the remnant is always his, and from them he starts over with his purpose. So, we can be confident that what we are seeing today, is God starting a winnowing process, He is showing all that are willing to see, the true nature of those that are against him, so that we as his servants can make a stand against them. So, today, Stand up for your Savior, do not be ashamed of him for any reason, and in the end, we shall see him prevail, just as he has said. Amen.
