Today's verse is Psalm 55:23
But thou, O God, shalt bring them down into the pit of destruction:
Bloody and deceitful men shall not live out half their days;
But I will trust in thee.
As we see judgment all about us, whether it is in the form of a natural events such as a virus, or a storm, or an earthquake, or it is in the form of the unrest of men creating destruction in protest, or of one nation seeking mastery over another, David’s response here needs to be ours: “I will trust in thee.” Earlier, in this same Psalm he says, “As for me, I will call upon God;/ And the Lord shall save me.” Amos tells us in this time to: “Seek good, and not evil, that ye may live:” Promising that “the Lord, the God of hosts, shall be with you.” So what shall you and I do? As for me, I will continue to “Trust in the Lord with all of my heart.” Amen.
To God be the Glory
Scott
Tomorrow's Reading will be Amos 7-9, Matthew 15
