Today's verse is 2 Chronicles 19:2
And Jehu the son of Hanani the seer went out to meet him, and said to king Jehoshaphat, Shouldest thou help the ungodly, and love them that hate the LORD? therefore is wrath upon thee from before the LORD.
I do not know why Jehoshaphat made peace with Ahab, but whatever his reason, we find that he was wrong. When we seek to minister to the lost, even when we as possibly follow the example of Paul, becoming all things to all, that he might save some, we need to be sure, that we do not compromise our convictions in hopes of reaching them. As we look at Jehoshaphat’s relationship with Ahab, we can see that this is what he did, even to allowing his sons to marry in Ahab’s family. So as you minister the Word to the Lost, remember that they do not have the truth, often they to not care for the truth, so stand for the Truth of God’s Word, whether they accept you or not, and maybe instead of them affecting you, God will affect them through you. Amen.
