The Blindness Of The Lost

Today's verse is 2 Chronicles 18:20
Then Zedekiah the son of Chenaanah came near, and smote Micaiah upon the cheek, and said, Which way went the Spirit of the LORD from me to speak unto thee?

The Story which we find this verse shows a few things. It show first how there is a distinction between a true follower of God and a false one. It shows that God’s Word can be recognized from placating words. And Finally, it shows that despite all of the above that those that do not know the True God, though they may proclaim that they do, are blind to this fact as well as to God’s Word. So what do we do, who have accepted the commission to proclaim the Gospel to the lost world? We boldly proclaim Jesus Christ to all at least once, and those that have an ear to hear, we expound upon that foundation, but those that don’t, we can do no other thing then to pray for them. For what we cannot do, (and God does not expected it of us) God can, and sometimes does, reach those that will not hear. Amen.

To God be the Glory
Scott
