Learning To Love God

 

Today's verse is Psalm 18:1

I will love thee, O LORD, my strength.

    To understand this verse, one must examine, and understand the life of David, the second King of Israel, his stumblings, and his exploits, the things he endured, even the chastening he has received, and been delivered through, then see, as David did, the Loving Hand of God upon him throughout all his life; even as the Apostle John has testified: We love him, because he first loved us. Therefore, will you, like the thirty seven men who followed David, follow also David’s example and Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. And Acknowledge him in all thy ways? If So, know that he shall direct all thy paths. Amen.
