How To Handle The Evil About Us

Today's Verse is Psalm 40:10
     I have not hid thy righteousness within my heart;
      I have declared thy faithfulness and thy salvation:
      I have not concealed thy lovingkindness and thy truth from the great congregation.

    And a couple of verses later, David also confesses: For innumerable evils have compassed me about: /Mine iniquities have taken hold upon me, so that I am not able to look up; /They are more than the hairs of mine head: Therefore my heart faileth me. The fool, that is the one that says there is no God, would claim David’s later confession is the reason they do not believe there is a God. Yet, rather, know that for all of this, his hand his stretched out still. So, when the evils of this life have overtaken you, whether by happenstance, or you are reaping what has been sowed, remember, and hide not God’s righteousness, and declare his faithfulness and his salvation, and let all know of his lovingkindness (willingness to forgive) and his truth to all that are about you. Amen.
