Knowing And Walking According To Our Sure Foundation.

 

Today's verse is Romans 1:2

(Which he had promised afore by his prophets in the holy scriptures,) 

    Paul was separated unto the gospel of God, yet so, being separated, he departed not from the foundation by which we have received the gospel. While it may be true that the gospel is not the whole of God’s Written Word, the whole of God’s Written Word points us to the gospel, that we might have the hope of eternal life, and that we might know the beginning of walking in the way of the Most High God. Therefore, as Peter counseled: We have also a more sure word of prophecy; whereunto ye do well that ye take heed, as unto a light that shineth in a dark place, until the day dawn, and the day star arise in your hearts[.] let us also so be found waking until our Saviour comes for his own as he has promised. Amen.
