Allowing Our Faith To Affect Our Works

 

Today's Verse is 1 Thessalonians 1:3

Remembering without ceasing your work of faith, and labour of love, and patience of hope in our Lord Jesus Christ, in the sight of God and our Father; 

    Take note of the testimony of the Thessalonians, that their faith produced works, their love was evidenced by their labours, and their patience (their ability to endure) was rooted in their hope in the Lord Jesus Christ, and from later testimony, both in the redemption of the Cross, and his promise to return delivering them (and us) from his coming wrath. Therefore, as they did, let us also Apply thine [our] heart unto instruction, /And thine [our] ears to the words of knowledge. allowing them to be a guide to our actions, and a refuge in the times of trouble. Amen.
