What Have You Said To God?

 

Today's verse is Numbers 14:28

Say unto them, As truly as I live, saith the LORD, as ye have spoken in mine ears, so will I do to you: 

    Have you ever heard the proverb, “Be careful what you wish for, for you just might receive it?” Such is what we see here, the Children of Israel, having seen God do many mighty and wondrous things, have refused to believe God, and what he promised them. So now, according to their words he pronounces his judgment. Moses asked for them a Pardon quoting God’s Word back to him, and that Pardon was granted, but God’s Judgment also stands. Instead of destroying those that have refused to believe outright in but a moment, God spreads out what he already pronounced over the next forty years, so that those which did not believe God, would not enter into the place of promise, but by his Pardon, their children would. So, take heed to what you have to say to the Lord your God, he just might hear you and take you at your word. Just as he wants you to do with his. Amen.
