Today's verse is Psalm 112:8
His heart is established, he shall not be afraid,
Until he see his desire upon his enemies.
Over the last few years, truly I had much fear in my heart, for I saw what things my God hates appear to flourish, even as declared by some; There is no fear of God before their eyes! But, as I continued to read God’s Word, I was continually reminded that he was still in control, and all these things that were happening he has foretold. Now, consider the second part of the above verse, and let us consider God’s desire upon his enemies. First, he is gracious, for we have been told; he is not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance. But still there will be those that refuse him, of such there is this warning: What if God, willing to shew his wrath, and to make his power known, endured with much longsuffering the vessels of wrath fitted to destruction[.] Therefore, so much the more, let us remember what The Saviour did, For if, when we were enemies, we were reconciled to God by the death of his Son, much more, being reconciled, we shall be saved by his life. How can we that have recieved such a Salvation desire any less for our neighbours. Amen.
