Speaking With Grace And Salt

Today's verse is Colossians 4:6
Let your speech be alway with grace, seasoned with salt, that ye may know how ye ought to answer every man.

Remember this: Just before Paul gives this commandment, he asked that those that first read this to pray for him, that the door for him to speak that the mystery of Christ might be given to those about him, even as he was in bonds for this purpose. So also, aught we to speak to those about us, knowing that salt stings the open wound, however, it is helpful in the healing thereof. But Grace is known for its comfort and encouragement and is generally uplifting, even as our hope of Salvation through Jesus Christ. So, as Paul requested prayer for an open door of utterance, seeking God’s Wisdom on how he ought to speak, let us do likewise, and allow him [God] to speak through us that our neighbor may hear and receive the blessing God has for them in Christ Jesus our Lord. Amen.

To God be the Glory
