Today's verse is Psalm 64:7
But God shall shoot at them with an arrow;
Suddenly shall they be wounded.
First, let us discover who it is that God will shoot. Even the wicked, speaking bitter words, shoot such things against those that David calls perfect, seeking for any imperfection, even iniquities, that they need not put any weight of their testimony, making light of their deeds that the fear of God might just be made to be naught. And though we know by God’s Word he will give them their day, until then, from time to time, he will bring each of them to account that all can see that he is God, that all should Fear and give all the Glory to God. So, until that day, fear them not, but fear God with whom we all have to do, and speak with boldness the Truth he has revealed to you, building upon it to increase your understanding in all Righteousness and Holiness unto God and his Son, who died and rose up that you might be found in him. And maybe, just maybe, they hearing will hear, and seeing will perceive that Great God and Saviour before the day of destruction visits them. Amen.
To God be the Glory
