It Does Not Have To Be Like This

Today's verse is Lamentations 2:9
     Her gates are sunk into the ground; he hath destroyed and broken her bars:
      Her king and her princes are among the Gentiles: the law is no more;
      Her prophets also find no vision from the LORD.

    Because the Law of God was forgotten, Israel, the apple of God’s eye, was destroyed. Because the written Word of God was rejected, God stopped speaking to his people. But consider this, Blessed is the nation whose God is the Lord; And the people whom he hath chosen for his own inheritance. Israel, truly, is the people God has chosen, but by the promise above the Nation you are in, can also receive the blessings of Holy One of Israel. You cannot control your neighbour, but you can make your own choice, to seek out and find that God is Good, and that his law is perfect; his testimony is sure; his statutes are right; and his commandments are pure; His fear, (the fear of the Lord) is clean; and his judgments are true and righteous altogether. More to be desired are they than gold, yea, that much fine gold: sweeter also than honey and the honeycomb. Therefore, Come now, and let us reason together, saith the Lord; though your sins be as scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they be red like crimson, they shall be as wool. So, will you come and walk with the Saviour? Amen.

Scott
