Today's verse is 42:2
My soul thirsteth for God, for the living God:
When shall I come and appear before God?
I see two things in this verse. First, I see one that desires the things of God in a land that appears to have forgotten God. So should we also thirst after God today, have we not been invited, have we not been taught, have we not be commanded that denying ungodliness and worldy lusts, we should live soberly, righteously, and godly, in this present world; and even as then, for the second thing I see is a desire for the Resurrection, even when God’s people will be changed in a moment, even to be with the Lord forever. Are you looking, are you watching, are you ready for the coming of your Lord the King. Selah [So think on this.] Amen.
