Today's verse is 1 Samuel 25:39
And when David heard that Nabal was dead, he said, Blessed be the LORD, that hath pleaded the cause of my reproach from the hand of Nabal, and hath kept his servant from evil: for the LORD hath returned the wickedness of Nabal upon his own head. And David sent and communed with Abigail, to take her to him to wife.
We see here a great learning moment of David, one that by his conversation [life] he never forgot, for from this moment David, having learned that God can handle his enemies, David shows us what Jesus meant when he said, That ye resist not evil: but whosoever smite thee on thy right cheek, turn to him the other also. For here David learned that evildoers shall be cut off: but those that wait upon the Lord, they shall inherit the earth. So, let us, as David, Trust in the Lord our God, and wait on him, seeking to do as he commands, and see what He shall do. Amen.
To God be the Glory
