Today's Verse is Job 18:2
How long will it be ere ye make an end of words?
Mark, and afterwards we will speak.
Both sides are weary, Job with his friends seeking to find fault, a reason for all these things that have befallen Job, and even then, not really hearing Job as he time and again, not only confesses sin in general, but also confesses his hope of redemption, even as he does once again in answer to this latest jibe. Let this be a lesson for us, for even when we shall see him face to face, and not through a glass darkly, knowing O so much more than we know now, will we ever know all that God knows? I think not! So, when giving counsel, let us practice humility, for we know, that only God knew what was happening in Job’s case. Not Job, not his friends, not even Satan who had accused him, Only God. Therefore, as we have been counseled by Paul: Who art thou that judgest another man’s servant? to his own master he standeth or falleth. Yea, he shall be holden up: for God is able to make him stand. Unless we see the open sin (which we should rebuke without fail,) let us remain silent, only encouraging our brethren whatever befall them to keep their Trust him until his purpose is made known, and all shall see God Glorified by what he had done. Amen.
To God be the Glory
Scott
