Today's Verse is Job 31:2
For what portion of God is there from above?
And what inheritance of the Almighty from on high?
Again, we see Job this time asking a question for which he does not have an answer. But now we have been given a glimpse of the answer, both to our inheritance, and to the treasure that God sees in those he has redeemed. Has God not told Paul: The Spirit itself beareth witness with our spirit, that we are the children of God: And if Children, then heirs; heirs of God, and joint-heirs with Christ; if so be that we suffer with him, that we may be also glorified together. Such is our hope of what God has for us, but God has also had Paul tell us, That the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give unto you the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of him: The eyes of your understanding being enlightened; that ye may know what is the hope of his calling, and what the riches of the glory of his inheritance in the saints. Remember, we have been bought with a price, and what a great Price that was, and God himself has determined that that price was not paid in vain. Amen.
