Today's Verse is Job 25:4
How then can man be justified with God?
Or how can he be clean that is born of a woman?
I can just hear the sarcasm and bitterness and lack of hope as Bildad the Shuhite spoke this question as a statement, even as I have heard it from many today. Yet, then they have promise God gave to Adam and Eve: And I will put enmity between thee and the woman, and between thy seed and her seed; it shall bruise thy head, and thou shalt bruise his heel. And to show that this was understood, it has been claimed by historians that there is a near universal “myth” of a god dying for his people and rising up again, even as Jesus Christ did for us when he surrendered to the Cross, and rising up the third day, proving that he is the Son of God with power. So, because there is forgiveness with God, he can be feared, as we through his Work on the Cross when he shed his blood for us that at one time had been his enemies, can now through him have a sure Hope of eternal life through Jesus Christ, the Son of God. Have you placed your trust in him? Amen.
To God be the Glory
