Today's Verse is Job 38:2
Who is this that darkeneth counsel
By words without knowledge?
While Job’s three counsellors are included in this rebuke, Job himself is its primary target. I am amazed at the things we can find in this book. In the book of Revelation of Jesus Christ the Gospel is called the everlasting Gospel, and we can find it in this book: He looketh upon men, and if any say, /I have sinned, and perverted that which was right, / And it profited me not: /He will deliver his soul from going to the pit, / and his life shall see the light. We can see how Job knew the truth yet still did not see his own transgression. And we also see how God, with Lovingkindness, brought Job to a place where he could repent, and we see him repenting. So, let us learn from this, and as Job testified, yet still stumbled, esteem the words of his mouth more than my necessary food. For if we do this, then we as Job, will be made to stand before that Holy One in the day of judgment with the congregation of the righteous. Amen.
