Aligning Ourselves To The Scriptures.

Today's verse is Gensis 1:2
And the earth was without form, and void; and darkness was upon the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters.

Much has been made of this verse, seeking to align what the Bible says with what Man has determined of the history of the world, as they try to deny that God is. So, others attempt to twist the scriptures so that they are in harmony with the godless timeline, even to trying to say, that this phrase “the earth was without form, and void;” shows that this was not the original creation because God later tells us: For thus saith the Lord that crated the heavens; God himself that formed the earth and made it; he hath established it, He created it not in vain, he formed it to be inhabited[.] Yet, in doing this, they violate another doctrine, I would say even more important. Have we not been told, even as we have seen in today’s reading, Wherefore, as by one man sin entered into the world, and death by sin; and so death passed upon all men, for all have sinned[.] It was not till Adam had sinned that any creature had died, yet the very day he sinned, for his sin, a creature or creatures God slew, that both Adam and Eve might have a covering. So, to return, how long was the earth without form and void? The first day God also made light, then divided it from darkness, then the second day he separated the waters, and the third day he separated the dry ground from the waters and created the plants, and by this time it was no longer without form and void, and was beginning to be inhabited, though no living creatures yet existed. Let us not try to conform the scriptures our understanding, but rather our understanding to the scriptures. Amen.

To God be the Glory
Scott
