Today's verse is John 6:51
I am the living bread which came down from heaven: if any man eat of this bread, he shall live for ever: and the bread that I will give is my flesh, which I will give for the life of the world.
I have before dealt with this passage, and I focused on Jesus being the Word of God, and that we “eat” his flesh by reading (and obeying) his word the Bible. But, today, I saw something else, Jesus also gave us his flesh, and shed his blood, when he died for us, as he suffered upon the Cross, and no man, nor woman, nor child shall see God, nor his Heaven less he come to him through the Work Jesus did upon the Cross. Do you know that it is your sin that has been placed upon Jesus as he died upon that tree? Has his Blood washed you clean, that God will no longer see your sin? That your account might be declared “It is finished!” That is paid in full. Are you now walking in the power of his Resurrection, by his Spirit that dwells in you? So have you “eaten” of the flesh of Christ? Have you “drunk” his blood? If so, you have that same life eternal that he has promised. Amen.
To God be the Glory
