Today's verse is Psalm 136:19-20
Sihon king of the Amorites:
For his mercy endureth for ever:
And Og the king of Bashan:
For his mercy endureth for ever:
Sihon and Og, Kings over wicked people, who when Moses asked to cross their land, not only refused, but attacked the children of Israel, God’s People, that they might destroy them as God had commanded. Then God gave to Israel their lands. Where is God’s mercy? It was upon Israel, who had agreed to abide by God’s commandments! It is for mercy’s sake that God will judge the wicked, not to the wicked, but to those that God has made righteous, that the evil the wicked do, will not harm anymore those that are under God’s care. So what of you? Will you receive the mercy of God? Are will you be condemned by it? Selah [This is your choice, choose wisely.] Amen.
To God be the Glory
