What Do You Value?

 

Today's verse is John 2;22

When therefore he was risen from the dead, his disciples remembered that he had said this unto them; and they believed the scripture, and the word which Jesus had said. 

    Some value Silver and Gold, and Precious stones, some value the praise of men, and others value whatsoever pleasures they may experience, but the verse above contains the most valuable things a man can obtain. Even at the beginning of his Ministry, Jesus Christ knew what he had come for; to die in the place of sinful man, to take upon himself the sins of all that had, or ever will, live. And having died for them, he rose again the third day by the power of his Spirit, that all that come to him, might live in him. And having purposed this from the foundation of the World, before Adam even knew of the Tree of the Knowledge of Good and Evil, he gave unto us his Word, even the scriptures that we might know what pleases him, and what angers him, and what his way is, that we through him might choose life over death. Selah [Do you know your choice?] Amen.
