Do You Know The Great God?

 

Today's verse is Psalm 147:5-7

     Great is our Lord, and of great power:

      His understanding is infinite.

     The LORD lifteth up the meek:

      He casteth the wicked down to the ground.

     Sing unto the LORD with thanksgiving;

      Sing praise upon the harp unto our God:

    Do you know the Lord God? Do you know the Most High God, who created the Heavens, and the Earth, and the seas, and all that in them are? Now is the time to give him the Glory, and to sing praises and be thankful for the things he has given. To be identified as one of the meek (that is knowing where your strength is, but being humble and gentle before a Holy God) rather than one that God identifies as wicked, for surely the time is short, has he not already begun to judge. But, “The Lord taketh pleasure in them that fear him, In those that hope in his mercy.” Are you one of them? Amen.
