Being Holy

Today's verse is Psalm 86:2
Preserve my soul; for I am holy:
O thou my God, save thy servant that trusteth in thee.

How is it that David says he is holy? Is it something David had done? NO! If you read the context, David confesses he needs forgiveness, just as the rest of us do. But he is holy because God has made him holy. Just as he has done for all that has trusted in his Son, Jesus Christ. He has set us apart, unto himself, for his Name’s sake, and for His Glory. Let us, therefore, separate ourselves, and be Holy as he is Holy, as he has made us holy, that when the time comes we might be found in him, Trusting in him, and walking in his way as he has set forth in his Word. Amen.

To God be the Glory
Scott
