Today's verse is Thessalonians 1:5
Which is a manifest token of the righteous judgment of God, that ye may be counted worthy of the kingdom of God, for which ye also suffer:
There is a number of things going on in and around this verse. One the persecutions and tribulations of the saints, which somehow is a token of God’s Judgment, which he will visit upon those that trouble his Saints. The Salvation that we receive of God is free, but it does not come without cost, for the prince of this world, and those that follow him, will not take lightly the loss of one that he counted as his, and as our new Master, is hated of them, so also will we be, when we choose his ways over the way of the world. But whatever we might suffer now, It will not compare to the reward that he has prepared for us, and even more so as we remain faithful to him. Selah [Consider these things.] Amen.
To God be the Glory
