Today's verse is Proverbs 1:7
The fear of the LORD is the beginning of knowledge:
But fools despise wisdom and instruction.
A couple of days ago, I invited you to Fear God, and here we see a promise of God of what that fear will produce: Knowledge. Yet, as we see today, if we refuse to recognize that God is to be Feared, because we value instead the vanity of foolishness, we find things to fear on every side, a virus, war, unavoidable global destruction, completely missing the warnings God has given us, that would allow us to escape all of these things. Professing ourselves wise, we have become fools. Let us, therefore, turn to the one that truly knows all. The one that has provided a way to escape his wrath and allow him to open our eyes to the mysteries he has prepared for them who Love him. Amen.
