Today's verse is Ezekiel 34:11
For thus saith the Lord GOD; Behold, I, even I, will both search my sheep, and seek them out.
The context of this verse speaks of shepherds that care not for the flock, but they use and abuse the flock that they themselves might be made rich and fat, all at the expense of those that they have charge over. Do we not see such things today, both on the spiritual as well as the political fronts? Yet, even as God judges these false shepherds, we have this promise, that he will search out his own, and notice the word seek. He will find all those that will come to him. Choose today, are you one of his sheep? Will you care for the need of your neighbor? Or will you just seek and care for your own? Seek him out, and he will find you, redeem you and restore you. Amen.
