Filled With The Spirit?

Today's verse is I Thessalonians 2:4
But as we were allowed of God to be put in trust with the gospel, even so we speak; not as pleasing men, but God, which trieth our hearts.

When I was young, a question had been asked, and the one with the question thought he had the answer but did not. The question was, “How does one know they are filled with the Holy Spirit?” The true answer is: Do you take God at his Word? Have accepted his gift through Jesus Christ? Have you surrendered to do as he directs? If you need evidence, as Paul so testified in the verse above, so also will you be able to claim, no matter what opposition you may face for proclaiming the Word of God, particularly the Gospel, the promise of Salvation to all that will come to God, through Jesus Christ’s saving work on the Cross. Are you covered by the Blood of Christ? Do you live according to the way of God? Do you proclaim to others what God has done for you? Such is the evidence that you are filled with the Spirit! Amen.

To God be the Glory
