From the immediate context, as well as later clarification, we know that the death of those that die, are those that perish from God’s judgment of their sins. This death God takes no pleasure in. It grieves him as we go about our own ways, thinking nothing of him,nor of his ways. His way is the way of life, to go any other is the way of death, yet it is in our nature to chose death over life. God is good, he is gracious, and he is merciful, and here he has given us a invite, to turn from our wicked ways, and to accept from him a new heart, and a new spirit, which will enable us to live for him, who will give us life everlasting and joy beyond compare, as we walk in his way of Life. Amen.
