The Traits of a True Child of God

Today's verse is Romans 2:29
But he is a Jew, which is one inwardly; and circumcision is that of the heart, in the spirit, and not in the letter; whose praise is not of men, but of God.

Whether a man is called a Jew, or as God’s people are currently called a Christian, it is not the outward trappings that make him so. For many claim to be of God, presenting an outward appearance conformable to what they think God expects, not knowing God at all. But to be a true child of God, one must first know God, and seek to please him above all others, and this as we are told elsewhere cannot be done with out faith. That is to believe God, and take him at his Word, knowing not just the letter, but understanding what he meant, as well. Amen.
