A Way For The Banished, To Be Restored
Today's verse is 2 Samuel 14:14
For we must needs die, and are as water spilt on the ground, which cannot be gathered up again; neither doth God respect any person: yet doth he devise means, that his banished be not expelled from him.
Herein is an apt description of mankind: we live, we die. And the God of Heaven sees all of this, and he is a fair judge over both great and small. But here is the real thing, there is none that deserve his mercy, yet he has devised a way for those that are his, to be able to enjoy his presence. For except it be for what his Son, Jesus Christ, had done when he died upon the cross, raising up again of the third day, we all should have died, forever separated from the God of Heaven. But because of what Jesus has done, all who wish to, can come to God through him, never to be cast from his presence. Amen.
