The Fate of the Wicked

Today's verse is Psalm 52:7
     Lo, this is the man that made not God his strength;
      But trusted in the abundance of his riches,
      And strengthened himself in his wickedness.

David, expresses his faith in God, and his judgment upon all those that refuse to rely upon God, but rather trust in their own strength. While God may for a season, suffer the wicked to flourish, their time will come, and judgment will then be swift. It is as the proverb: “letting one have the rope to hang themselves by.” So do not worry over the apparent successes of the wicked, but trust in God, for in the end the righteous will flourish, but the wicked will be as the chaff which is burned. Amen.
