Again God's Word Fulfilled

Today's verse is I Kings 2:27
So Solomon thrust out Abiathar from being priest unto the LORD; that he might fulfil the word of the LORD, which he spake concerning the house of Eli in Shiloh.

God is a God that cannot lie, and anything he says, whether in judgment, or in mercy, he will not relent. But look, Solomon did not cast Abiathar out of the Priesthood, because of what Eli failed to do, but for Abiathar’s own transgression. Now, as this is good reason to fear God, there is still hope. For we have recently looked at David’s transgression, and the troubles he faced because of it, but still David was able to say, truly, that God delivered him out of all of his distresses. Amen.
