Today's verse is Acts 25:7
And when he was come, the Jews which came down from Jerusalem stood round about, and laid many and grievous complaints against Paul, which they could not prove.
I do believe that when Paul said “I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me[.]” it was in part this period of his life that he was speaking about. He was condemned for preaching the Gospel of Christ, and though those that were in Power knew he was innocent, they for political reasons left him confined, for their own pleasure. Yet, if we consider the Promise that God made to Paul, that he would testify before Caesar, we can see God moving behind the scenes to bring Paul before Caesar’s judgment seat. So whether you are currently Prosperous, or as Paul is here abased, know that the Lord your God, that redeemed you from your sin through Jesus Christ has not forgotten you, but is working in you to perform his will for you, and he will Glorify his Name in you. Amen.
To God be the Glory
