Today's verse is Isaiah 41:10-11
Fear thou not; for I am with thee:
Be not dismayed; for I am thy God:
I will strengthen thee; yea, I will help thee;
Yea, I will uphold thee with the right hand of my righteousness.
Behold, all they that were incensed against thee shall be ashamed and confounded:
They shall be as nothing; and they that strive with thee shall perish.
We see here a promise to a faithful Israel, the desire of God’s heart, but as he promised Israel, so too by what God said through Paul, all promises to us-ward, is yea, yea. We as followers of Christ, while not taking the place of Israel, can alongside them, partake of the promises that God gives to his faithful followers. That is what this promise is! So in this day that men do not seem to even care that God is watching them, let us read this passage, and take heart, and put the fear of all else but God behind us, seek to do his will, and follow his ways, and as he has promised, he will remove all that oppose him in due course. Amen.
To God be the Glory
