Today's verse is Job 5:8
I would seek unto God,
And unto God would I commit my cause:
This bit of counsel comes from Eliphaz, and to be honest, I do not know how to handle the utterances of Job’s comforters. Yet, here as it is quoted again in Psalms at a later time, must also be good counsel. In fact, the first phrase should always be our first response to anything that occurs in our life, whether good, or bad. Does not Matthew, repeat the commandment of our Lord, as he recorded, “Seek ye first the kingdom of God?” So whatever may come our way, let us Commit our way unto the Lord, trusting in him, and he shall bring it to pass, just as he promised. But let us seek, and find out just what “it” is, that we be not surprised, when God brings his will, and not ours to fruition. Selah [Think on this.] Amen.
To God be the Glory
