Today's Verse is Jeremiah 42:3
That the LORD thy God may shew us the way wherein we may walk, and the thing that we may do.
As I hope you agree, this is a good question! Yet, the problem is that it was false, and those who brought it, once God gave them an answer, they quickly disregarded the promises and warnings that God had given them through Jeremiah. So much so, that I have heard a report from one that was seeking to find fault with God, that these after they had fled, and the few that survived completely and utterly forgot their God and their history. As God had said, so it happened upon them, even as we later received warning by Christ himself of those that hear the Word, then disregard it, being as those that built their house upon sand. So, let us purpose in our hearts, to first seek out God’s Word, and then to also purpose to obey it, even as the Lord God has given all to Trust in Christ his Spirit to enable us to walk pleasing to him. (The end result being obedience to his Word.) Amen.
