Edification Or Destruction?

Today's Verse is 2 Corinthians 10:8
For though I should boast somewhat more of our authority, which the Lord hath given us for edification, and not for your destruction, I should not be ashamed:

The authority of which Paul speaks here is one of an Apostle, even one sent of our Lord to proclaim the message of the New Testament that we might begin to understand the mind of our Lord. From this we can also glean God’s purpose for his Word, that we might be edified rather than be destroyed, because we have reveled in our sin, because we have rejected the gift offered by God himself, giving us the opportunity to be reconciled unto him through the Ministry of his Son. Will you hear, will you respond, will you come to the one that Loves you? Or, after thy hardness and impenitent heart treasurest up unto thyself wrath against the day of wrath and revelation of the righteous judgement of God[?] Selah [Know ye not that the choice is yours?] Amen.

To God be the Glory
